  OUR NEW 2010-11 CLASS SCHEDULE! Classes begin Monday, August 16, 2010:
(Subject to additions and changes)  Each class must have an enrollment of at least 6  to “make”.

The Madison Studio offers the most comprehensive dance education in Middle Georgia.

In ascending order, from youngest/beginners to oldest/advanced, (with class level leotard color listed through Ballet Tech levels), and additional offerings:

Pre-Dance - Ages 3.5-5 Mondays 4:15-5:00pm - FULL;  Thursdays 5:15-6:00pm - starts September 9 (pastel pink) Includes pre-ballet, creative movement, tap, and tumbling

Level I - Ages 5-6  Wednesdays  4:00-5:00pm (bright pink) Includes ballet, tap, and tumbling

Level I/II - Ages 6-7  Mondays  5:05-6:05pm; (white) Includes ballet, tap, and tumbling

Level III - Ages 7-9 Tuesdays 4:00-5:00pm (light blue)  Includes ballet, tap, and tumbling

Diamonds  - Ages 9-12 Thursdays 5:05-6:05pm (red) Ballet, tap, and tumbling

*Approaching Pointe - ages 9-11  Mondays AND Wednesdays 5:00-6:05pm (navy/midnight/military blue) The demi-pointe prep year to build strength for  full pointe work the following semester/year.  (NOTE THIS DAYS/TIMES CHANGE).  No Beginners.

*Pearls - ages   10  & up  Mondays AND Wednesdays 5:00-6:05pm (chocolate brown)  Ballet and Stretch with Beginning Pointe. No beginners. 

*Allegros - Ages 11 & up (purple) Tuesdays AND Thursdays  6:10 - 7:15pm  Ballet, Stretch, and Pointe

*indicates class meets twice weekly, counts as two enrollment groups

DANCE MAJORS CATEGORY (higher levels)

Ballet Tech E/P:  Mondays 6:10-8:00pm (black) - warm-up and choreography for Ensemble members and those cast in MSDE performances. (MANDATORY for Ensemble members)  Additional rehearsals will be called as needed, generally Saturday late mornings/early afternoons.

Ballet Tech - Pointe & Variations: - Tuesdays 6:25-7:55pm. Higher level Ballet technique/pointe.  (black)

Ballet Tech - Pointe - Leaps - Turns - Stretch!:  The name says it all!  Thursdays 6:10 - 7:40pm (black)

Contemporary Ballet/Lyrical - Wednesdays 6:10-7:25pm.  Permission of Instructor.

Modern A/B - Ages 9 & up:  Thursdays  4:00-5:00pm  Modern Dance forms & techniques.

Modern C/D - Ages 14 & up (by permission of instructor) -  Tuesdays 5:05-6:20pm.  Higher skill level contemporary 

ADDITIONAL CLASS OFFERINGS/OTHER DANCE FORMS:

Tumbling:   ages 8 & up-beginning to high-intermediate level.  Tuesdays  5:05-6:05 pm Mat work including  conditioning and stretching to improve strength, flexibility & quickness.

Musical Theatre C : ages 11 & up  Wednesdays 5:05-6:05 pm  Choreography to Broadway & movie tunes for the older student.

Tap A/B:  Thursdays  6:10-7:10 pm   ages 8 & up - Tap technique & choreography - join in the fun!

Tap C:  Thursdays  5:05-6:05 pm   Tap technique & choreography at a higher level, prior tap experience necessary

Teen/Adult Dance: Ballet for the recreational dancer who can only fit in one class weekly, teen, or adult who would like to start or return to dance,or dancer who wants an additional class.   Tuesdays 5:20-6:20pm   

Ensemble Apprentices & Junior Ensemble: Wednesdays  6:10-7:15pm (by audition/invitation only) MANDATORY for Junior Ensemble and Ensemble Apprentice members. Additional rehearsals called as needed, generally Saturday late morning/early afternoon.

Hip-Hop A- ages 9-12 - Wednesdays 4:00-4:55pm. 

Hip-Hop B - Teens/Adults - Wednesdays 5:00-5:55pm (this class time will change to 6:00-6:55pm starting in September, 2010)

NEW! Cheerleading! - ages 5-8  - Wednesdays 5:00-5:55pm - starts September 8 - our new offering with returning Instructor Jayme Hale, former member of Jacksonville Jaguars ROAR dance team!

Ballroom for Kids! - Boys & Girls! ages 8-12 - Mondays 6:05-6:55pm, with team teachers Laura Thomason and Daniel Boudreault. This is the way the tv dancers started! No partner needed!  6-week sessions: #1 August 16 - September 27 (no Labor Day class); #2 October 4 - November 8; #3 January 3 - February 7; #4 February 14 - march 21; #5 April 4 - May 9.  Private lessons also available. Tuition by dance card only for this class. Swing, Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Cha-Cha, Rhumba!

Ballroom for Big Kids! - Adults & teens -Mondays 7:00-8:00pm - see above Ballroom info. Join the fun - gain confidence - no partner needed!
